The Job
Spend your days supporting feed dealers by introducing new products, helping them merchandise their stores, making farm/stable calls for them, explaining promotions, training retail sales reps and speaking to groups of animal owners explaining the benefits of great animal nutrition.  Additionally, you will evaluate the roster of current dealers to determine which should be targeted for growth.  Lastly, you will identify potential dealers and develop that business.

To be seriously considered for this position you must have
  • Experience as a hobby farmer, beef or dairy producer or horse owner
  • Strong sales aptitude.  Experience in outside sales is a big plus
  • Outgoing personality, confidence as a speaker, ability to self-manage
  • The desire to work in sales (cold calls, closing, follow-up and territory management)
  • BS degree in Equine Studies, Marketing, Animal Science, Business or a similar field
  • Willingness/Ability to overnight travel 1-2 nights each week in PA/MD
  • Excellent communication skills
